La versión 3.0 está disponible con cambios a una correa de pecho de doble ajuste frontal de nailon sólido, bolsillos de gran tamaño en el pecho para teléfonos y petacas de tamaño grande, y un diseño de bolsillo de doble capa que sostiene el teléfono por fuera y la petaca por dentro. Tiene capacidad para 1 litro/35 oz de líquido en la vejiga, pero se puede cargar con una petaca en la parte delantera para aventuras mucho más grandes. El cordón de choque trasero es ideal para chaquetas o una capa base. El tamaño de la mochila es pequeño y llega hasta los hombros para una máxima transpirabilidad cuando hace mucho calor. ¡Afronta todo, desde una carrera a la hora del almuerzo, un maratón, un triatlón, un paseo por grava, un paseo en mtb o en las pistas!

¿Qué es diferente entre la versión 3.0 y la 2.0? 3.0 tiene:

  • Correas de nailon sólidas, no elásticas, en los ajustes delanteros del pecho para un ajuste ceñido y antideslizante.
  • Hemos añadido un elástico estructuralmente resistente en la parte posterior de las correas laterales para que se estire un poco para adaptarse a la respiración del pecho y al mismo tiempo mantener la estabilidad.
  • Los puntos de anclaje para bastones de trekking se encuentran en la parte delantera y trasera de la mochila.
  • Se agregó un lazo para colgar el paquete.
  • Cambie a retenedores de correa elástica en el lateral de plástico rígido.

La clave para que quede bien es ajustar primero los lados, no el frente, hasta que sientas que la mochila se ancla en tus hombros. Luego ajuste el arnés delantero según sea necesario para que pueda respirar durante el movimiento.

Durante cualquier deporte, el Gear Vest es extremadamente estable en movimientos de torsión, arriba y abajo y rápidos. Se adapta a tu cuerpo y es muy cómodo de llevar. El almacenamiento frontal está diseñado para matraces blandos de 500 ml o 600 ml.

Best minimalist running vest

I love this vest. I live in Arizona and run in very hot weather, so I needed something that holds a lot of water but does not add a lot of extra material to my person. This fits the bill perfectly. I love that it rides high on the back and allows for maximum ventilation. The straps are easy to adjust and can be secured easily so that the excess doesn't flap around while I run. The pack feels very secure with no bounce while not being constricting or suffocating. I love the velcro piece that secures the water bladder in place so it doesn't slosh around. Between the water bladder and the front flask pockets I can carry 2L of water. I did have a similar issue to another reviewer with the straws on the flask being a bit long, but I just tucked them into the pocket and it wasn't a problem. I might try cutting them down as suggested. I've used Salomon, Nathan, and Naked running vests and have had various issues with all of them. This will be my go-to vest for the Arizona summer for the foreseeable future.

Ideal Running Pack

Ran my first marathon with this pack and it performed perfectly. I will be hiking rim to rim later this year and this will be the only pack I bring with me. Would have liked an option to purchase this and two flasks (at a discounted price) as a bundle.

Gear Vest v3

Perfect for longer days running on the road or trail. The front pockets hold a gel flask perfectly and 1L of water is a nice size while still feeling light. Only requested improvement is an integrated hose clip (I just trimmed mine). The higher mounting holds well on my body. Nice job Orange Mud!

Well-made and Light

200+ miles using this kit, after owning it for a couple of months. I went with teal because I like the color and I find it easier to clean/take care of lighter color equipment… personally would be unable to keep a white vest white, so teal works great. There are plenty of features to this vest, but ultimately my impression is that it isn’t flashy-selling me with too much going on or promised. The material is sturdier than what I have experienced with other brands - there are no film-type fabrics used on this product that are a blunt branch away from an absolute blow out. I like that, and yet the vest is thought out and designed in such a way to still be very light.

I’d like to see taller external pockets on the bottle sleeves, might as well go all the way up - could change to looser mesh, or keep same fabric as is now. Additionally, or as an alternative, adding elastic or a draw string to that external sleeve would be great. I don’t use them honestly because anything will quickly fall out on a trail run, for example. Love the key lanyard… simple, light, no broken or opened zippers to blame for losing my car keys.

Finally, I wore this for the JFK 50-miler (pictured), and wanted to wait on reviewing until after putting the vest through a race. I loved it. Water bottle with drink mix in one chest sleeve, gels in the other. I took the back bladder out for the race (plenty of water points on the course), but that was a great feature for training and is nice to have options for…
